Musik – Macht – Sinn
Balance oder Kollaps? Nach den schrecklichen Erfahrungen zweier Weltkriege haben die Vereinten Nationen im Jahr 1948 in der “Universellen Erklärung der Menschenrechte” ein gemeinsames Wertefundament verfasst. Würde, Leben, Unversehrtheit, Freiheit und Eigentum, faire Teilhabe und Sicherheit. Werte, die für ein zukunftsfähiges Miteinander in Frieden unveräußerliche Rechte eines jeden Menschen sind. Das wird in der ersten Strophe besungen:

Ein gesetzliches Grundprinzip fairen Miteinanders bezeichnet der Begriff der Verhältnismäßigkeit. Es ist uns bewusst, dass es alles andere als leicht ist, den richtigen Weg der “Verhältnismäßigkeit” zu finden. Wir beanspruchen aber das Recht darauf, dass dieser Weg stets gesucht und beschritten wird. Eine gelebte “Tugend der Fairness und Ausgewogenheit, des Gewissens und der Vernunft” ist dabei unser Verständnis des Begriffs der “Brüderlichkeit” als eine Tugend der Balance, als
- Richtschnur für individuelles Handeln
- Maßstab für Gesetzgebung und Regulierung
- Leitbild für das weltweite Miteinander

Die “Würde des Menschen” und die “Würde der Natur” sind unsere Vision für eine “bessere” Welt.
Das hat “Spirit of Brotherhood” auf dem Internationalen Chorfestival Baden in der zweiten Strophe herausgestellt. Die Bewahrung der Natur, die Bewahrung der Umwelt für jedes Leben, ist eine unveräußerbare Pflicht der Menschen.
Strophe:
Jeder hat das Recht auf die gleiche Teilhabe an allen globalen Allgemeingütern (Allmende).
Jeder hat das Recht, das Gleichgewicht der Natur für heutige und künftige Generationen zu bewahren.

Krisensituationen wie eine Pandemie zeigen uns deutlich auf, welche Auswirkungen es hat, wenn sich immer mehr Menschen den begrenzten Lebensraum der Erde teilen. Dann stellt sich die schwierige Frage, welche Beschränkungen der Rechte „verhältnismäßig“, d.h. erforderlich, notwendig und angemessen sind, um die Gefahr einer Seuche abzumildern. Wir haben in einer neuen Strophe für den Virtuellen Chor mit Orchester das in Artikel 27 der Universellen Erklärung deklarierte Menschenrecht auf Kunst aufgegriffen, um darauf aufmerksam zu machen, dass die Folgewirkungen einer Einschränkung universeller Rechte für unsere Kultur und Bildung bedacht werden müssen.

Jeder hat das Recht, am kulturellen Leben teilzunehmen und sich an den Künsten zu erfreuen.
Jeder hat das Recht, die Kultur des Musizierens zu bewahren, alleine und in Gemeinschaft.

Aktuell leben wir in Zeiten barbarischer Akte gegen die Menschlichkeit!
Eine neue dritte Strophe unserer Ode an die Zukunft „Spirit of Brotherhood“ greift daher den Artikel 30 der Universellen Erklärung der Menschenrechte auf:
Artikel 30
Keine Bestimmung dieser Erklärung darf dahin ausgelegt werden, daß sie für einen Staat, eine Gruppe oder eine Person irgendein Recht begründet, eine Tätigkeit auszuüben oder eine Handlung zu begehen, welche die Beseitigung der in dieser Erklärung verkündeten Rechte und Freiheiten zum Ziel hat.
Strophe:
Tyrannei und Krieg verachten diese Rechte, Pflichten und Freiheiten!
Niemand, kein Staat, keine Gruppe und keine Person haben irgendein Recht
gegen die Anerkennung und Einhaltung der unveräußerlichen Rechte und Pflichten zu handeln.
Das ist die Grundlage für Freiheit, Gerechtigkeit und Frieden in der Welt!

Balance or collapse? In 1948 the United Nations proclaimed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as a common standard of achievement for all peoples and all nations. All these rights are inalienable and essential for a world living in peace. In the first verse we sing:

All human beings are born free.
All human beings are equal in dignity and rights.
All human beings are endowed with reason and conscience.
All human beings should act towards one another in the spirit of brotherhood.
The term proportionality denotes a fundamental principle of humanitarian law. We are aware that finding the right way of „proportionality“ is anything but easy. We claim the right that this way always has to be strived for. Our vision: “brotherhood” being a virtue of balance!

Everybody should be obliged to respect human dignity and the dignity of nature! This message has been the focus of the second verse at the International Choir Festival Baden. The necessity to preserve the earth can be considered a common understanding and to be mutual interest.

Everyone has the duty to preserve the balance of nature for current and future generations.
A pandemic crisis like corona confronts us with the dangerous impact of more and more people living and travelling on our planet. We have seen our rights and freedoms curtailed to face the danger of contagion. A new verse in „Spirit of Brotherhood“ with orchestra puts the focus on the freedom of arts in article 27 of the universal declaration of human rights to raise awareness to the proportionality principle. The impact of measures on culture and education must be considered even in times of a crisis:

Currently we are facing barbarous acts against our human values!
Thats why a new third verse in our „Ode to the future“ puts the focus on article 30 of the universal declaration of human rights:

Nothing in this Declaration may be interpreted as implying for any State, group or person any right to engage in any activity or to perform any act aimed at the destruction of any of the rights and freedoms set forth herein.
Verse:
